HOW TO GROW CUCUMBERS
|
 |
|
The
nutrient solution used
for any hydroponic
technique is made up of
various chemicals which
consists of essential
nutrients like N, P, K
and Ca etc required for
plant growth. However,
plants need different
proportion of nutrients
during respective stages
of development. The
following table shows
the appropriate amount
of chemicals to use for
different growing
stages.

The nutrients should
be prepared as two
concentrates.
Nutrient solution A
consists of Calcium
Nitrate and ETA iron
only.
The remaining nutrient
chemicals make up
solution B.
The
above table shows the
amount of nutrient
chemicals needed to
prepare 1000 liters of
solution. Calcium
sulphate is eliminated
in this case because
precipitation will
occur. Therefore calcium
nitrate is used instead.
The table below shows
the formulated
concentration of
elements in 1000 liters
of nutrient solution.
